You don’t have to be handcuffed to a desk in your nearest capital city. There are so many amazing employment opportunities out there where bright, bold, forward-thinking women can make their mark and travel the world. It is absolutely possible for you to have your (travel) cake and eat it (on the plane, with money you earned), too.

5. Event Coordinator

This occupation involves arranging massive events like trade expos or festivals. You’ll liaise with interested parties countrywide, often in person, before heading to the event itself and overseeing everything from bump-in to bump-out. You will also need to responsibly balance the budget. For instance, all that travel is going to be a drain on resources better spent on the event itself, so organizing simple things like a discounted bulk rate on flights through travel booking sites will be proof that you’re the right person for the job.

4. English Teacher

It turns out that being able to speak one of the world’s most common languages is extremely useful because there are millions of people around the world who want to learn it. Teaching English abroad is among the most rewarding jobs a frequent traveler can take on. Many foreign institutions do require you to be certified to teach English but, certification courses are affordable and typically only take about a month to complete.

Are you great with kids and also a bit of a linguist? Consider becoming an au pair. Au pairs are taken in by a host family overseas and in return provide quality childcare. This is a way to travel the world and make a difference in people’s lives. Working for an international aid organization will allow you to visit developed and developing nations and assist its residents in enduring terrifying scenarios like famine or wide-spread disease. A background in the education, health, or agriculture fields and a vested interest in social work will be looked upon more favorably by international aid organization recruiters.
