Eddie Madaki is a PR Goon, Promoter, MC and multidimensional entrepreneur that has successfully been able to create a strong influence in the PR and entertainment industry birthing a strong brand around himself, as well as his company (i-Blend).

With his strong and assured presence, it is so easy to have smart conversations with Eddie, who has a vast experience in his industry space, and recently, we met up with him, to learn a thing or two about the man that has played an active role in energizing the social, creative and entertainment sphere in Abuja.

Eddie Madaki is an Architect, and graduated from the University of Jos in 2005. After practicing post-graduation, he moved towards the financial sector, where he spent nine years developing competencies in marketing, sales and communications strategy.  The structure, discipline and multiple certificate training courses he amassed during his time as a banker, have been instrumental to the success of iBlend today.

Often referred to as a man of many talents, most of which he has utilized in different ways, Eddie’s leadership and creative ability goes back to his days in the university, where he was the Director of Media and Publicity, Black Collar Entertainment-an event management company that he ran with Katung Aduwak of Big Brother Nigeria fame, and Wale Akinjogbin back in Jos where they represented acts like MI Abaga at that time.

Eddie Madaki was a participant in the Gulder Ultimate Search reality show in 2006, and had a stint acting in the BBC World Service Trust “Wetin Dey” Drama Series in 2007, his versatility has always been obvious to see, as he also enjoyed a successful modelling career, working for a number of multinationals and local brands.

At some point during his NYSC, he tried his hands at the mass media and went on to become a TV and Radio Personality, a sought after master of the ceremony and now, Principal Partner at iBlend services, a leading PR and Corporate Communications firm out of the North of Nigeria.

He tried to revamp the entertainment culture in Abuja, in a period where most entrepreneurs were fleeing Abuja and the North in general for Lagos, and had a firm conviction that he could make it work in Abuja, and that was how iBlend was subsequently founded.  According to him, iBlend was conceptualized basically as a network of young talented individuals, with various skills, all working together towards a single goal- collective professional progress and growth.

iBlend is also dedicated to working with companies to build strong brands, which ultimately drives in increased market share, revenue growth and profit, and has Pepsi, Unilever, Silverbird Group, EIE, BBC World Service Trust, Medicaid Cancer Foundation, Diageo Pernod Ricard, Chocolate City Music Group, as some of its clients.

He also has special memories his early days, from being part of a quartet musical brand- The Hebrew boys, that eventually went on tours with the likes of Panam Percy Paul and Bishop Uma Ukpai, to his first event management company- Black Collar Entertainment.

Eddie Madaki travels, to new places, as a way to “de-stress”, and enjoys great meals and good workout sessions.
